Success Stories . Our Impact
Success in an organization
“People continued on telling their stories and sharing experiences around racism ... searching for understanding and growing in conviction, connection and clarity in the work to become better allies in the fight for equity. Your work really assisted our journey toward authentic sharing and learning. Thanks for the work that you do ... it is truly a gift of healing.”

Playback in Schools
We felt that the project achieved its goals of preparing a student group to perform for peers, and giving other students an opportunity to tell their stories and gain understanding and empowerment in relation to bullying, particularly as witnesses. For both the training group and for the audiences, it was clear that learning what bullying is, and acquiring meaningful language with which to talk about it, are in themselves powerful ways to build safety and respect. The training group was on the whole a cohesive and supportive group in which the participants felt safe to tell very important and vulnerable stories from their lives, on topics such as violence, racism, and sexual orientation.
Impact in Community
“Words can't express how appreciative we are for your performance. You are all very gifted and doing such important work. Not only are you phenomenal actors but you are wonderful listeners. Thank you for continuing to create a safe space for our group to process our feelings, cry and laugh."

"I wanted to thank you and the wonderful performers for the amazing event last night. I have received a few emails from students already raving about their experience. Your group brought an amazing energy and reverence to the classroom that was quite evident in the experience of the group members. It was clear to me that you have put in many hours of hard work and refinement into your craft. I look forward to discussing Playback with the class now that they have this firm experience as their foundation.”
